VENTURE CREWS (CO-ED) ARE ALWAYS WELCOME HERE.
Crater Lake Council offers an awesome long-term camping experience for everyone at Camp Makualla, located on Crescent Lake, offering a spectacular view of Diamond Peak.
We have tons of special activities planned for this summer. Those of you who are regulars every summer are going to appreciate the changes we have in store.
New Merit Badges include Search & Rescue, Fingerprinting and Water Sports. Our waterfront continues to grow and take advantage of the beautiful Crescent Lake. There is no better place to be in the summer than our own Boy Scout Camp Makualla. The water is fresh and clear and the scenery is beautiful. Whether you are staying at camp to take a merit badge and/ or go through our Trail to First Class or want to leave camp to take one of our many Outbound Trips, there is a good time to be had by everyone.
Boy Scouting is designed to take place outdoors. It is in the outdoor setting that Scouts share responsibilities and learn to live with one another. The skills and activities practiced at troop meetings come alive with purpose. Being close to nature helps Boy Scouts gain an appreciation for the beauty of the world around us.
Summer Camp is one of the single-most important events that a Boy Scout can attend. It will be one of the great experiences in the life of a Scout. Each program, merit badge, and evening campfire will linger in his memory for years to come. Scouts have the opportunity to put their outdoor skills to the test, to work with one another and to make life long friends. There is much to experience, to learn and to enjoy on a summer camp adventure.
