2010 KLONDIKE DERBY

Open to all Troops, Teams, Venture Crews & Explorer Posts

Registration:  The 2010 Klondike Derby will be held at Camp McLoughlin, Friday through Sunday, February 19th - 21st.  Units electing not to camp may attend on Saturday only.  Registration and payment is required no later than February 12th to assure that we purchase enough food and supplies.  The fee of $20 per person will include a patch, breakfast and supper on Saturday and Sunday breakfast.  A reduced fee of $15 per person will be charged for units attending Saturday only.  Registration will be done by mail.  There will be a $15 per unit registration fee.  Early registration is appreciated and will aid in preparations.

Format:  Klondike Derby is a WINTER CAMPOUT!  Units are expected to camp in tents or snow shelters and to cook Saturday lunch on the trail.  Saturday breakfast, supper and Sunday breadfast will be provided in the dining hall.  One staff cabin or half an "A" frame will be available per unit for use by 2 adults, if necessary (available on a first come, first served basis.)  Saturday's featured patrol event will be a Klondike sled race with fun events geared to skill levels up through First Class.  Camp will be open Saturday and Sunday, February 13th and 14th for units to prepare snow shelters and for staff to set up the course.  (Only restrooms will be available on the 13th and 14th.)
