Silver Beaver Nominations
The Silver Beaver award was introduced in 1931 as a means of recognizing Scouteers who profided distinguished service to youth on the local level. The award is made by the National Council, upon the recommendation of the Local Council.
The first Silver Beaver awards were issued on a blue / white / blue pocket ribbon. Initially the Silver Beaver award was only presented to men, with the Silver Fawn being a similar award for deserving women. The requirements were changed in 1974 to allow the Silver Beaverto be presented to both outstanding male and female Scouters.
The Crater Lake Council is pleased to recognize the outstanding achievements of our fine adult volunteers. If you would like to nominate a fellow volunteer for their dedication to the local Scouting program, please download the nomination form below. This award will be presented at the Council Annual Meeting,
January 20, 2011. Nominations must be received no later than December 1, 2011 to be considered, NO EXCEPTIONS.
