Christmas Tree Lots for 2020

As of November 20th, here are some resources available to Units who are interested in Christmas Tree Lots.

Tree Lots in Oregon

1.  Establish a capacity for the lot and limit the number of people at one time to 75% of that, including workers.

2.  Required Signage must be posted.

  • Link to required signage provided above.

3.  Mask must be worn at all times for all Scouts, volunteers and customers.

4.  Lay out the lot to avoid choke points or crowding places and allow spacing of customers and workers

5.  Remind customers to disperse if they start collecting in groups of two or more families. Individual family groups (persons from the same group) are fine.

Recommendations

  • Provide ample hand sanitizing supplies in convenient and accessible locations for workers and customers.
  • Minimize workers and customers in close proximity.
  • Workers carry trees to vehicles as little as possible and avoid getting into, or leaning into, vehicles.
    • Ask customers to stay separated from workers during any carrying/loading.

Above All: Use good, common sense and remember that the goal is to safeguard Scouts, Volunteers, and the Public.

Decisions on whether to undertake an activity are up to Units - considering regulations, common sense, and the goal of preventing infection among Unit members and the public.
