Training on the online application system on February 2nd
Starting on April 1st of 2021, the Crater Lake Council will no longer accept paper applications. Applications will have to come through the www.beascout.org online application system, which is administered through my.scouting.org. To help you prepare for this transition we will be holding a training on February 2nd at 6:30 via zoom information below We need every unit to have a volunteer in attendance. Please RSVP to the training here.
The online application system has become much more robust over the last year. It now can handle adult applications, youth applications, multiple registrations, and transfers. Units using this system are seeing the benefit of not having to worry about the applications being delayed because of issues. This system also eliminates writing down and passing on of Social Security numbers keeping all of our identities secure.
www.beascout.org also serves as the backbone to the marketing efforts of Scouting. We see leads come in weekly of parents interested in joining Scouting and as we market that site more in the future, we will see even more leads. It is important that every unit understand and be able to respond to the leads they receive.
