All leaders are invited to a series of zoom meetings designed to bring discussion and information to our Scouting unit leaders on topics that are timely and of interest. Led by volunteers, these short sessions will cover a multitude of subjects – you are invited to attend any or all that interest you. You can also forward this zoom invite to other leaders in your unit if you think they would enjoy the topic. These meetings are free, most will last between 30 – 40 minutes in length and begin at 4:30 PM.

May 19th, 2020 Session 5 – Summer Camp Opportunities – “If you want to see a young person grow, plant their feet in the soil of Summer Camp.” This session will discuss the many summer camp opportunities that your Cub or Scout can experience when the weather gets warm. We will walk through the process from searching out a camp, to the day of arrival. Invite that leader who you want to be your camping expert.
May 26th, 2020 Session 6 – Budgeting and Financials – We know what we want to do – How do we pay for it? This session will discuss the importance of having a budget and how to set one up. Also discussed will be understanding a budget and how to help educate your families about the importance of following a Scouting budget.
June 2nd, 2020 Session 7 – Popcorn Sale Preview and Fundraising – Is your unit selling Popcorn Online right now? With technology advances in the popcorn system, your unit should take a hard look at this no-risk money opportunity. With events this spring, we’ll be reaching out to ask all of our units to take part in the fall popcorn sale. . Also discussed will be other best-practices for fundraising the money needed for the Ideal Year of Scouting.
June 9th, 2020 Session 8 – Marketing Scouting – Telling the Scouting story and sharing it with our communities – we do so much good, how do we share the news? Not only for membership but also for fundraising and community engagement, we will have a fun and informative look into how we can market the Scouting program.
