Scout Troops Assisting Almeda Fire Victims

The Almeda Fire and other wildfires in the local Rogue Valley have impacted the community in ways that were unforeseeable. While the landscape still bears its scars from the flames, this community came together to connect and help those in need. The local troops in Wild Rivers district were some of the few who truly stepped up to lend a helping hand.

Troop 112 of Ashland, OR. assisted the OSF Donation Center on September 16th receive a large donation that travelled from Portland to assist families and community members affected by the Almeda Fire. These trucks arrived at 10 AM at the donation center, and Troop 112 worked late into the night to volunteer and offload these donations.

Both Troop 1 from Central Point, OR. and Troop 211 from Ashland, OR. assisted the OSF Donation Center on September 26th in curating and distributing donations to those in need that were affected by the Almeda Fire.

Once again, thank you so much to the local troops for giving your services to the communities that need them the most.
